Microcorrugated cardboard - the kind of corrugated fibreboard differing in rather small height of flyuting (corrugated layer) which makes from 1,1 to 1,7 mm. Depending on quality of flat layers can be: brown, white or coated. Is appropriated to microcorrugated cardboard the alphabetic reference "E" which has arisen the initial name of brand of microcorrugated cardboard "Elite" of Eli production of which has been arranged in the USA.
The three-layered microcorrugated cardboard has to have the same characteristics as well as three-layered corrugated cardboard of other profiles: resistance to breakdown - not less than 9,3 MPas; resistance to edge compression along corrugations - 3,3 kN/m; moisture content - 8,5%. Resistance to stratifying for three-layered microcorrugated cardboard is not considered. Exerts impact on the size of resistance to edge compression of three-layered corrugated fibreboard cumulative properties of two flat layers arriving on the crimping and gluing machine respectively and one corrugated layer. Production and carving of corrugated fibreboard of profile "E" does not differ from production of corrugated cardboard with classical to profiles and is carried out on the same equipment with use of replaceable shaft and die-cutting knives.
